The sport of flying parachutes, modified to enhance their gliding capabilities, is called paragliding. Of course, this is not always possible due to various reasons such as time, locations or travel restrictions. When you can’t physically get to a place from where you can fly, that’s when a paragliding simulator comes in. With the paragliding simulator will be able to fly cross country, ridge soar or speed, fly the terrain with any glider of your choice without even going out of your apartment. It is a surrealistic videogame made for people to experience as close as possible the feeling of paragliding.
What is Paragliding Sim?
Launched in March 2020, Paragliding Sim is a surrealistic 3D videogame that simulates a cross country flight all over the world, with high realism of the paraglider dynamic and air conditions. When real paragliding was for many of us hard to realize, Evan Barros came up with the idea of making you fly without leaving home with the Paragliding Sim by Evan – one of the most realistic paragliding simulators ever made. The wings are soft body, meaning they can flex and twist.
This simulator includes dynamic wind (ridge lift, lee side rotor) as well as thermals which are most likely found on the sunny faces of the terrain. It is recently updated with anabatic (sunny slope) winds and paramotors. There will be more stuffed added in the future like Hang Gliders and Fixed Wing Aircraft.
